About The Book
The original Fahamme Gospel by Paul N. Johnson (The Fahamme or Enlightened) published by the Fahamme Temples of Islam and Culture copyrighted in 1943. Fahamme Islam reveals to Afro-Americans knowledge about their great ancient Hamitic culture and civilization.
High Sheik Ibn Hassn was the leader of the Fathiha School of Fahamme. When he died in 2001, I inherited many documents that Paul. N. Johnson wrote and left with the Sheiks, Imams, Priests and Priestesses. Some of these documents were the lyrics to songs and poems. As a vocal music teacher for many years, I felt compelled to add the music to these songs. Thus, the writing of Maito-yi Wa Sallase-yi (Songs & Poems).
It is my hope that this published music book will serve as a valuable resource for performances by choirs, soloist and musicians and give the Afro-American community a path to explore and learn more about their Ethiopian, Egyptian and African history, language and heritage.
